What MustLoop does with your Gmail

Last updated: September 24, 2026

MustLoop reads your inbox to keep track of your outreach. That is a serious thing to ask for, so this page says exactly what it means before you decide, including the warning screen Google will show you, and why.

The warning screen you will see

When you connect Gmail, Google shows a screen saying "Google hasn't verified this app". To continue you have to click Advanced, then Go to MustLoop (unsafe).

That wording is alarming and it is worth being straight about it: it does not mean Google found something wrong. It means MustLoop has not yet been through Google's security assessment for apps that read Gmail. That review costs several thousand euros and takes months. MustLoop is being built by one person and is not yet charging enough customers to justify it, so the review is deliberately deferred until it is.

Until then, Google caps unverified apps at 100 people for the lifetime of the project. That is the real reason access is invite only. It is not scarcity marketing.

What MustLoop reads

Connecting Gmail grants MustLoop two permissions:

  • Read your email (gmail.readonly), so it can find the threads that are actual conversations with real people, and tell you which ones have gone quiet.
  • Send email as you (gmail.send), used only when you press send on a draft. MustLoop never sends anything on its own, on a schedule, or in bulk.

What it never does

  • It never sends without you. The AI drafts. You read it, edit it, and send it.
  • It never stores the body of your emails. Message bodies are fetched to be analysed and then discarded. What is kept is the summary, the status, and the notes about the person.
  • It never deletes, archives, or modifies anything in your mailbox.
  • It is not used to train AI models. Analysis runs through Anthropic's API, which does not train on data sent through it.
  • It is never sold or shared with advertisers or data brokers.

Newsletters, receipts, and noise

Most of a mailbox is not outreach. MustLoop filters automated senders, receipts, and bulk mail out before anything is analysed, so what ends up in the app is the handful of threads where a person is waiting on you.

How to revoke access

You can cut MustLoop off at any moment, without asking us, at myaccount.google.com/permissions . Revoking there stops all access immediately. To also delete what MustLoop has stored, disconnect the account in Settings or email support@mustloop.com and it will be removed.
